Spokesperson of Pakistan Muslim league-Nawaz (PML-N) Marriyum Aurangzeb on Thursday said that the incompetent government has snatched the facilities of health, free medical tests and medicines from the people and left them at the mercy of dengue. Expressing her concern over surge in the cases of dengue patients in different areas of Punjab, the PML-N leader said the devastation of massive unemployment and soaring inflation proved bad governance of the incumbent government.

"Dengue is spreading due to inefficiency and non-initiation of timely steps by the government," she said. "Shehbaz Sharif had eliminated Dengue from Punjab as well as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)." The maladministration has reached such a level in Punjab that thousands of dengue patients are lying in the hospitals unattended; she added. Moreover, sources in the health department claimed that the number of dengue patients in Punjab has reached around 275. He added that health authorities have increased surveillance of anti-dengue activities and the situation would be normal soon.
